How To Attract Your Perfect Mate – I’m sure many people are facing the new year with the sinking feeling that they are still single, although being single has its merits most of us have an ache that we want to eventually settle down and find the perfect partner. Someone who we can stick with through thick and thin and share our life experiences. There are all sorts of rules about dating and luring partners that flow around in magazines, on media and by word of mouth. Everyone feels they have to compete to be “that guy” or “that girl”. The problem is most of us don’t fit the “that” category and in reality most of us are deep down not looking for that. A perfect partner doesn’t exist. Perfection is over-rated anyway, eventually perfection would become sterile, boring and frustrating. Every perfect partnership has imperfections that cause you to have to work for each other and the relationship, it’s this grind that draws you closer and makes an unbreakable bond. Finding the perfect mate requires that the potential mate sees who you are and falls for you. Being yourself is the number one key to meeting someone and forging a lasting relationship. I think, hand in hand with this goes not trying too hard, you shouldn’t immediately meet someone and be on the idea of lifelong partnership, treat everyone as a potential friend and relationships will naturally occur. This means you need to put yourself into situations that you enjoy, where you can be yourself. Have you ever really enjoyed going to the same bar week on week, standing around and spending far too much money? Maybe some nights it is fun but ask yourself are you doing it out of habit or because you want to? Evaluate the things you have always wanted to do or need to do more of. If you love playing chess, join a chess club. If you always wanted to learn photography, find a local photography group and get involved. Soon enough you will start to meet people with similar interests and maybe even a few potential partners and dates will arise. I hope you see where I am going with this subject? Finding the perfect partner is often about finding yourself and sharing that experience with people you enjoy being around. The rest should come on its own accord.
