Worst Movie Bosses

Worst Movie Bosses You may have experienced some horrible bosses in your work experience, but some of the worst head honchos have been captured on the silver screen. Yes, Hollywood has a tendency to tap into what the average American worker experiences and use it for entertainment purposes. For some, seeing awful bosses in movies is merely a funny exaggeration of their own workplace experience. For others it’s right on the money. Most recently the film Horrible Bosses came out and explored the world of selfish, evil authorities and how three average guys want to fight back against them. Despite the fact that it wasn’t the funniest of movies (I watched it this weekend, my personal opinion) it still struck a chord with audiences. It’s not easy being the employee all the time, after all. Especially when someone who’s not as good at their job is in charge! Worst Movie Bosses Your boss may be the smartest, most wonderful person you know. If this is true, you’re a very lucky individual. For many others their bosses are bullies , incompetent, and power abusive. The following are examples of these types of bosses, as captured in movies. Bill Lumbergh from Office Space . The boss who doesn’t yell, but belittles you with his weird patronizing sighs and ‘mm-k?’s Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada . She’s manipulative and evil without pretending to be otherwise. She makes your life a living hell and ruins your personal relationships. Gordon Gekko from Wallstreet . He may be successful, but he’s despicable. Dr. Howard Mierzwiak from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind . He is supposed to help people with his memory erasing technology, but he ends up hurting more people because of it. Ebeneezer Scrooge from A Christmas Carol . The cheap jerk who doesn’t care about anybody’s life but his own. Mr. Burns from The Simpsons . He may be a television boss but he is one of the worst, most notorious bosses in entertainment history. He treats his employees like minions and doesn’t care that his nuclear power plant hurts the environment. Worst Movie Bosses Have you ever had a terrible boss that you think would make a great movie villain? I once had a boss who was not only horrible to all of the employees but he was caught stealing thousands of dollars from the company. He was also a massive liar and claimed that he had been a millionaire but lost it all on a woman. Kind of a weirdo and we were all glad that he got fired.
