Wettest Cities

Wettest Cities – If you’re a fan of rain and clouds then you might consider moving to some of the country’s wettest cities. Not all of us are built for the sun and prefer the more green, lush moderate climate of cities that get their fair share of rain. I was lucky enough to spend a year in Ireland where I had a wonderful rainy experience, however I can’t quite afford to move there. For those you looking for a similar experience to the Emerald Isle, you might want to consider the Pacific Northwest. Portland and Seattle get plenty of rainy days. While the Pacific Northwest might have more rainy days overall, they don’t necessarily get the most rain. I’ve compiled a list of the Wettest Cities in America: 1) Mobile, Alabama gets 67 inches of rain a year. 2) New Orleans, Louisiana gets 65 inches of rain a year. 3) West Palm Beach, Florida gets 62 inches of rain a year. 4) Lafayette, Louisiana gets 62 inches of rain a year. 5) Baton Rouge, Louisiana gets 62 inches of rain a year. Depending on what kind of person you are, this information might change your mind about where you want to live. For more of the wettest cities in America, check out the Live Science article from which I sourced the top 5. I love rainy weather. I can’t help it– my complexion and heritage wasn’t built for the sun. I much rather always be wearing jeans and t-shirt and not be too cold or too hot. Too rainy is okay as long as there are some just plan overcast days. I think part of the reason I also love rainy weather is because I enjoy reading, writing and watching movies– all things you don’t feel guilty for doing when it’s too wet outside. I suppose everybody is different and prefers different kinds of climates. What do you think of America’s Wettest Cities ? Do you like the rain enough to move to one?
